The waste belongs to the following waste types:

Large burnable waste Padded furniture Wood waste

Sorting guidelines:

Sort burnable waste larger than 60 x 60 cm into large burnable waste.

Take undamaged and usable furniture to a flea market or a recycling centre.

Wood waste includes all possible wood waste, except pressure treated wood.

Small metal parts like nails and hinges do not need to be removed.

What happens to the waste:

Metals, for instance, are separated from waste to be utilised, after which this material is crushed into piece size suitable for burning.

Furniture is crushed, after which a greater part of metals are separated into recycling. The material that is left is utilised as energy in a waste power plant.

Wood waste is chipped and delivered to heating plants where they become the source of heat and electricity.
