There are three harmful invasive alien species of knotweed in Finland: Japanese Knotweed, Giant Knotweed (also called Sakhalin knotweed) and Bohemian Knotweed. The knotweeds spread through root and stem pieces within yard waste or soil material. - Pack knotweed waste in a tightly closed double garbage bag. Take them to the sorting station as waste consisting of invasive alien species.
