Syringes

Collect needles and syringes in a durable plastic box or bottle, that can be securely closed. Empty syringes and syringes with any medicine left inside them should be collected in separate containers.

Empty needles and syringes can be sorted as burnable waste, as long as they are packed according to the directions above. Also insulin needles can be disposed of this way.

Return needles and syringes containing even small amounts of medicine to the pharmacy.
