You can put small amounts of vegetable oil, that has been absorbed into a paper towel, into a composter or a bio waste bin. If you have a larger amount of oil or if you do not have access to neither a composter or a bio waste bin, pack the oil tightly, e.g. in a milk carton, and sort it into a bin for burnable waste. Do not pour vegetable oil down the drain.
Sorting guidelines:
Pack bio waste in wrapping that will decompose, such as newspaper or a biodegradable bag, before putting it into a bio waste container. It’s importat to pack bio waste in order to keep the waste container clean and odourless. You don’t need to pack bio waste for your home composter.
If you do not have access to a composter or bio waste container, bio waste is burnable waste.
Sort both recyclable waste and hazardous waste separately.
